If you are looking for an outdoors experience, the Volcanoes National Park is also a must-see. It lies in northwestern Uganda and is home to lush bamboo forests and rain forests.
Animal lovers will definitely want to travel to Rwanda, as this country is home to populations of primates such as the endangered mountain gorillas and the golden monkey. It is a thrill to see both of these species in their natural habitats. Plant lovers will also be delighted as Rwanda is home to some gorgeous orchids, begonias and over 200 species of trees.
Have no fear when trying to plan when you will travel to Rwanda as the country is a year round destination. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by friendly people and delicious food! Typical Rwandan food will consist of rice, maize, potato or banana served with a meat stew.
