Chanhsouda Heuangmany (Chansoda)
Chansoda was born in a city in the center of Oudomxai Province located in the northwest of the country, sharing borders with China to the north, and Luang Prabang Province to the east and southeast. She finished her high school in her home town.
Due to a family situation, Chansoda could not continue to study at the local university so she decided to channel her energy into the study of English at a local private school. After graduation, she got her first job as a local guide at the Bamboo Experience in Luang Prabang. At this family-run business, she began her guiding career by sharing her Lao culture and local foods with visiting travelers. The small business benefits the local community by helping keep native arts and handicrafts alive. The following year, she applied for and received her license to become a national guide. Chansoda speak Lao and English and enj9ys reading an sports. She has a warm and welcoming manner that enhances her skills as a knowledgeable Big Five guide.
