Welcome to South Africa!
Today on arrival in Johannesburg, you are greeted with VIP assistance to your connecting flight to Cape Town. After your clear customs you will exit where you have a private driver meet and transfer you to your hotel.
Welcome to the V&A Waterfront…
Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbor, the V&A Waterfront has become one of South Africa’s most visited destinations. Since 1988, the harbor is continually undergoing changes, with the redevelopment of land and the restoration of buildings surrounding the original Victoria & Alfred Basins, creating a mix of shopping and entertainment venues, intermingled with imaginative office locations, world-class hotels and luxury apartments in the residential marina.
Aside from the myriad of shops, restaurants and bars, there is a more cultural side to the Waterfront, focused on the historic Clock Tower, which was the original Port Captain’s Office in 1882 and part of a collection of well-preserved turn of the century buildings. It is near here that the ferries depart for Robben Island (from the Nelson Mandela Gateway), while the Two Oceans Aquarium is a short walk from here. With ferries and boats continuously on the go, Cape Fur Seals playing in the harbor water, and a mix of both locals and international visitors, the Waterfront is a wonderful place to soak up some typical Cape Town vibe.
Cape Grace Hotel
Situated on a private quay on the V & A Waterfront, the Cape Grace commands dynamic views over the working harbor, yacht marina and iconic Table Mountain. Spacious and classically decorated, the 120 rooms and suites incorporate world-renowned vistas from large French windows. Signal Restaurant offers superb Cape and international cuisine while the Library and Bascule Whisky, Wine and Cocktail Bar afford elegant places to relax. Zimbabwe’s prime tourist destination and a magnet for visitors from around the world, Vic Falls has a rich and romantic history. Discovered in 1855 by explorer and missionary David Livingstone, the railway from Cape Town arrived in 1904 and the landmark 198-meter-long Victoria Falls Bridge spanning the immense Zambezi River gorge and linking Zimbabwe to Zambia was built in 1905.
Welcome to Victoria Falls
When you wander through the lush rainforests above Victoria Falls, newly baptized in the mist, your ears holding the echo of thundering waters, it isn’t hard to imagine that this is where it all began. Eden. As the land cuts away beneath the ancient Zambezi River, the waters plummet dramatically into the Batoka Gorge, over 100 meters below. The angrily churned up spray shoots skyward, painting the landscape in billowing clouds. This striking “smoke that thunders” can be seen for miles, a geographic pointer summoning visitors into its presence. The vibrant town of Victoria Falls is known as the adventure capital of the world, and if your eyes light up at the thought of conquering the “Stairway to Heaven” or “The Terminator” in a raft, then this is the place for you. While the notorious Nyaminyami (Zambezi River God) watches from its mythical depths, and the majestic basalt cliffs allow your passage through the canyon’s exquisite landscape, adventure seekers are assured
of a good time. From Grade 5 white-water rafting, bungee jumping and abseiling the amusement never ends. What makes this destination so memorable is the fact that it is perfectly combined with warmly hospitable people, exquisite scenery, and an array of accommodation. Excellent game, historic ruins, fishing, and luxury train travel are easily accessible from Victoria Falls, as are the neighboring countries which border this fascinating town.
