Visiting Glacier National Park

Sometimes life can get too fast paced. With work, chores, family and other daily responsibilities the days can seem to just fly by. Wouldn’t it be nice to move at a glacier pace? Disconnect from your cell phone, un-plug that computer, and take a trip to Glacier National Park where you can reconnect with nature.  A trip to this beautiful park in Montana is like an extended breath of fresh air!

At one time, huge glaciers slowly moved through what’s now the Rocky Mountains, carving grooves and peaks into the rock. While we are usually very removed from the natural world, standing before the incredible Rockies helps slow things down a bit. Be sure to visit when the crowds aren’t so thick. Usually July and August are the most popular times to visit because the weather is much more temperate than other months. There are more tourists in during these two months than the rest of the year combined. If you are willing to deal with a bit of rain, it is recommended to go during the first two weeks of June. It is also recommended to consider going in September when crowds have thinned out for the most part.

No matter what you’re interested in, Glacier National Park has something for you. From fishing and biking to horseback riding and helicopter tours, there is sure to be something to please everyone.  Whether you are going on a boat cruise or a one-day hike, Glacier is an unforgettable destination. The best way to take in all this park has to offer is to get out of the car and explore on foot!
