Meet a Master Part 1

Dear Agency Partners,

Over the last months, we have tried to give voice to the voiceless in Peru and Colombia. We hosted two virtual ride-along experiences for participants to gain a first-hand look at the humanitarian work taking place around Cartagena. Across the planet, we are being challenged to do better. How do we keep the new connections we have made as alive and viable three months from now as they are today?

The Big Five team has access to bright and talented people, personalities who are eager to share stories of their country’s own struggles with movements, either through first-hand encounters or from the point of view of respected historians. Showing yet another side to the power of tourism, we share these amazing people, who clients can meet while in country. They are the Faces of Five.

Seeing Gandhi-Ji’s statue disrespected in Washington DC was eye opening. His movement influenced the actions of both Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. Do not miss these timely webinars beginning with the first of a three-part series on June 25 at 11:00 EST.

Meet Enrique Polo, Master of Agriculture Engineering in Peru and Master on Planning Regional Agriculture in Israel. Mr. Polo is also our Destination Specialist Gisela Polo’s father. He spent much of his career working with Peru and Colombia, with more than three decades in the agriculture area in Peru, serving as regional director of Agriculture Planning for Lambayeque and La Libertad States, and as secretary general of the National Institute for Agrarian Research. He worked with the United Nations International Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Colombia. His duties included organizing and training farmers for their improvement of farming equipment, land distribution and training in better application of technology.
