Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Originally, the conservancy was a cattle ranch until the late 1970s, but when endangerment of the animals became a concern, steps were taken to protect them.  The Black Rhinos are an example of a species that desperately needed the Lewa Conservancy to implement measures to protect them from poaching. Currently, the conservancy raises funds to promote awareness and generally protect the natural resources in Kenya.
